Revelations of Place in Homesick Poetry of Sevilla, Analytical Semantic Study

Abstract: This study aims at exploring artistic characteristics of the place in the homesick Poetry of Sevilla as there is an importance of the place in the Arabic poetry generally and Andalusian poetry specifically. This poetry expresses novel humanitarian meanings that were presented by very well-known poets such as Ibn Zaydun and Al-Mu'tamid ibn Abbad. The current study seeks to reveal the semantics and the emotions that are expressed by the poets. To achieve that, the study adopted the descriptive analytical methodology. The study found that the place has a vital existence in terms of the style of the used words in describing the places and their semantic usages.
