Assessment of the Financial and Economic Development of the WSS Companies in Bulgaria in the Period 2003 - 2015

Abstract: The article analyzes the financial and economic situation of the WSS companies in Bulgaria for the period 2003 - 2015. The research is part of a scientific project, according to the Ordinance No.9 of the MES from 08.08.2013, with No.NPI-130/2014, entitled: „The concession as a factor for the development of the Water Supply and Sanitation sector in the Republic of Bulgaria“. It provides an assessment of the financial and economic indicators characterizing the dynamics of the development of WSS companies by statistical regions, which can serve to reveal the potential for concession of the water services they supply.
