Abstract:
An effective description can be produced of subjective human judgments through stratification and quantification of human thinking processes in light of the analytic hierarchy process, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis in systems engineering and an approach of great use in analyzing various social, economic, scientific, and technological systems. The key to the successful use of the analytic hierarchy process is found to be correct construction of judgment matrices. A method is proposed for constructing judgment matrices in the analytic hierarchy process. Citation Copyright 1993 by Kluwer Academic Publishers.
