Abstract:
This paper presents the application of taxonometric methods to the spatial variations in Polish unemployment. Cross-section and time series analysis refers to the changes in the unemployment structure according to some demosocial characteristics such as gender, age, education, and unemployment duration. Presented here are: 1) a time-series description and analysis of the overall unemployment level and structure according to demosocial characteristics; 2) a short description of unemployment delimitation and unemployment structure in two moments of an analyzed period; and 3) comparative analysis of the regionalization of Poland according to the unemployment level with delimitation of the unemployment structure according to demosocial characteristics.
