Abstract:
This paper includes the definition of the measure of the similarity between two functions. This measure is a quantitative characteristic of similarity of function graphs and is helpful in comparing the dynamics of economic processes. Construction of the measure includes two special cases: functions defined on intervals and functions with discrete domains. The considerations are generalized in a natural manner in research concerning the similarity of stochastic processes. Copyright International Atlantic Economic Society 2000
