Abstract: Abstract Thirty-three among 441 research articles published in the Journal of Family and Economic Issues during the past decade (2010–2019) examined financial behavior. Through content analysis, we describe what these studies have discovered and discussed. Savings, wealth, and family issues were the keywords chosen most frequently. Studies primarily implemented quantitative analyses, such as regression and regression-like analysis, using secondary data collection methods, and the majority investigated financial behaviors of US individuals or households. Based on the findings, future research directions on financial behaviors are provided.
