Population Research and Policy Review, 2017, vol. 36, issue 5, No 1, 637 pages

Abstract: Abstract The impact of the social environment on human health and development is a common theme among demographers and population dynamics researchers. Less clear are the paths and mechanisms through which the social environment ‘gets under the skin.’ This special issue of Population Research and Policy Review presents five papers that address current scientific thinking on these paths and mechanisms.
