Abstract: Abstract The purpose of the article is to systematize existing views in the academic literature, international and national law on the concept of “digital financial assets” and its correlation with the concept of “digital assets”. Differences between Russia and several other countries were identified, analyzed, and compared. The proposed concept of digital assets includes the concept of digital financial assets (cryptocurrencies, tokens, digital currency) as one of the varieties and opens up the possibility of legal regulation of other types of digital assets (e.g., domain names, virtual values in online games) that currently exist or may appear in the nearest future.
