Abstract: Abstract Based on the notions of an integrated approach, this study investigates the roles of people, plan, and process related activities in strategy implantation success in organizational contexts. Data were collected from 307 top- and mid-level managers working in public and private sector organizations in Kazakhstan. The findings revealed a significant influence of people-, plan-, and process-related activities on strategy implementation success and competitive advantages. However, the study found insignificant moderating roles of hierarchy culture and transactional leadership in strategy implementation and competitive advantage relationships. The findings reiterate the importance of an integrated approach in strategy implementation success and provide guidelines to initiate appropriate people, plan and process related activities in future strategic management practices.
