Abstract: Abstract Nowadays, sports are not only enjoyment but also a source of income through online betting, significantly impacting young people’s social and economic development. This study investigated how economic, social, psychological, and technological factors influenced sports and virtual betting among youth in the North Wollo Zone. An explanatory research design was used, with data collected from 385 respondents, of which 351 valid responses were obtained. Multiple regression analysis revealed significant correlations between these factors and gambling behaviors, affecting addiction, financial hardship, and psychological well-being. Future research should refine theoretical models and incorporate longitudinal, comparative, and qualitative methods to address limitations and provide deeper insights.
