Abstract: Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the need for organizational support. Drawing on signaling theory and using a time-lagged study design to gather data from healthcare workers, we propose a moderated mediation model that examines the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support and Desire to have a Significant Impact through Work (DSIW) by incorporating the moderating effect of burnout and the mediating effect of Perceived Ethical Responsibility. The findings reveal that workplace ethical responsibility boosts employees' desire to make an impact, but burnout can negate this effect by overwhelming employees with negative thoughts. The current study provides novel insights for theoretical and practical implications.
