Abstract: Abstract The present work investigated the effect of perceived public support for entrepreneurship on entrepreneurial intention directly and indirectly via entrepreneurial self-efficacy factor and entrepreneurial climate while exploring the moderating effect of gender. Here, the data were collected through a survey questionnaire administered to 260 Tunisian university students. The findings demonstrate significant indirect-only mediation impacts of self-efficacy and climate on students perceived public support - entrepreneurial intention relationship. Moreover, the moderating role of gender on the examined association emphasizes that the indirect influence of perceived public support on entrepreneurial intention via entrepreneurial self-efficacy is more pronounced for women than for men.
