Abstract:
Abstract This article serves as an introduction to the Review of Industrial Organization’s Special Issue commemorating 40 years of incentive regulation. The article summarizes some of the key lessons we have learned about the design and implementation of incentive regulation. The article also identifies questions that remain to be answered.
