Abstract: The pressure of the social measures of industrial origin generates three directions within the relationship between man and the environment: the demo-technical saturation of the space, the exhaustion of the „consumable” nature, and diminution of the quality of the environment due to pollution. The protection of the productive quality of the environment presupposes: „humanization” within scientific knowledge, paralelization of the social steps with the nature and formation of an ethic vision about the environment. For this reason, human geography determines systemic thinking operations, global interpretation of the teritorial realities and outlines the geographic dyagnose of the human alteration over the environment. It highlights the social and physical atrributes of a quality environment and establishes the possible limitations of „humanization” of natuaral components within the technical and economic revolution of the modern society consumption.
