Abstract:
Waste, as an agent of altering and contaminating the environment, jeopardizes human health and transforms the natural environment into a desolate wasteland; it has negative and discomfiting effects onto the human psyche, also. As such, waste management stands as an indicator of lifestyle quality and of the level of civic awareness and civilization in a certain social and demographic area.
