The Role of Foreign Direct Investment Projects in the Employment Evolution in Europe

Abstract: Following the crisis, the world and investors perception changed. The paper tries to highlight a few key dimensions of the FDI downturn impact on job creation in Europe in crisis and global recession. In this approach are analyzed changes in geographical and sectoral orientation of foreign direct investment projects in the European countries and the affirming of the investor form Brazil, Russia, India and China in European countries. Despite the apparent reduction in investor interest, Europe remains attractive to companies who know the market and have already invested in the region.
