Abstract:
KOF forecasts the development of Swiss health care expenditures since 2005 focusing on total expenditures as well as on expenditures “by functions”, “by providers” and “by sources of funding” according to the OECD’s System of Health Accounts. In 2014, the forecasting model was comprehensively overhauled. This article introduces the new model as well as the results of KOF’s spring 2015 forecast of Swiss health care expenditures.
