Abstract: The purpose of this article is to evaluate the role of foreign investments in the development of innovative areas of the Podkarpacie voivodeship. The article presents the information regarding the structure of foreign investments in the voivodeship. Additionally, it analyses their size taking into account the investments in special economic zones, such as: industrial parks and technological-industrial clusters, which are becoming a key factor in the innovative development of the Podkarpacie voivodeship.
