Abstract:
In times of crisis such as the pandemic, companies face difficulties that affect their operations, adopting Remote Work (RW) as a response strategy. This article aims to investigate to what extent the incorporation of RW becomes rooted in work organization, and the depth and key characteristics that this modality assumes. The industrial survey conducted by the Institute for Training and Studies for Local Development (ICEDEL) in companies from the city of Rafaela during 2023 is used as the source of information. To this end, a quantitative methodology is employed, which includes the creation of indicators and the review of structural variables, examining the relationship between them through Chi-square tests and standardized residuals. The results reveal significant heterogeneity in the adaptation of RW during the pandemic and identify factors that facilitate and/or hinder its adoption in firms.
