Abstract:
This study presents partial results of the research made in the framework of an accredited project named “Study of organizational cultures as determinants of people who work in them”, whose overall goal is to illustrate the characteristics of each cultural type described in the culture theory. The data presented are the result of several research projects developed over the years using the same methodology, which allow comparisons and the elaboration of general conclusions. It has obtained a wealth of information to analyze several variables associated with the analysis of organizational culture and classify each one in a cultural type. Then, the information obtained from the database was compared with the characteristics described in the theory, in order to validate them. The most important conclusion that we arrived is that organizational culture affects many aspects of people behavior, and many phenomena, including those studied in this paper, prove it. It is essential to study this aspect of the organizations in depth, and not just to classify in a cultural type (there are several relationships between different variables that bring more information relevant to understand people ́s behavior).
