Abstract:
This report proceeds from the hypothesis that women are less represented than men in positions of empowerment in institutions of National Higher Education. This, if so, exposes a problem of gender inequality in these organizations, leading not only to ethical/moral problems but also to the waste of the benefits that the female values can provide to the organizations. The aim of this work is focused on carry out a quantitative analysis of the situation in Argentina, identifying different variables of analysis and thus, in this way, to arrive to a conclusion about the issues raised. The results demonstrate that, among other things, as grade levels rise in the organizational hierarchy is lower the presence of women in management positions. Also, results were obtained respect to that there are certain subject areas that can be considered female (Human Sciences) and other male (Applied Science).
