Abstract: This article deals with the study of some hypotheses about the macroeconomic impacts of different events affecting the field of coffee, in the framework of macroeconomic theories, classic and keynesian, pointing out the results of some investigations of the topic. The key issue of this article as of the revised literature is the variation in the external price of coffee. As the author points out, the macroeconomic aspects of external price variations of coffee depends on the analytical model used and also of the mechanisms used to alleviate or to neutralise possible effects.
