Abstract:
This paper studies the efectivity of search methods in the colombian labor market. The empirical analysis is uses the 2003 survey of life quality. More frequently used methods are the informal ones; i.e. informal economic activities are reflected in the informality of search methods. Formal methods are the most effective, followed by the moderated informal methods -weak links- and informal methods -strong links.
