Abstract:
This paper estimates the exchange rate pass through to the consumer prices of tradable goods in Colombia during the period 1994-2007. The econometric analysis shows evidence of cointegration among the prices of tradable goods, nominal exchange rate, international prices and the trade account-output ratio. We find an incomplete transmission effect of the exchange rate both in the long and in the short run.
