Abstract:
This paper analyzes regional inequalities in the financing of social development, particularly related to the financing of health, with a view to making policy recommendations for the study period of 2002 to 2006. The population analysis consists of the departments grouped into regions (Caribbean, Central, Eastern, Pacifica, New Departments, Bogota and Antioquia). For the base criteria, the allocation of resources cited in Act 715 are used in the analysis. The study shows the consistency of allegations that expose the existence of serious inequities in funding for health in the Caribbean and Pacific region against the national average
