Abstract:
This paper analyzes the exchange rate regimes in Colombia between 1923 and 2023. It highlights key periods of monetary instability and policy interventions. It also identifies the challenges that these regimes have implied and traces their evolution, emphasizing the shift towards a flexible exchange rate system and the debates surrounding the need for market interventions.
