Reflection On The Theory Of Economic Growth
Dr. E. F. Szcsepanik
Economics and Finance in Indonesia, 1960, vol. 11, 297-301
Abstract:
Economic growth an inherently dynamic idea, is the very opposite of the classical "golden ages", "heavenly kingdoms" or any other concept of complacent stationary state. The beginnings of serious approach to problems of economic growth, therefore, have to be sought in the period of renaissance, reformation, geographical discovery and organized national efforts to improve material welfare. These factors contributed to the mercantilist heritage containing some rudimentary foundations of the growth theory: the need for political unity of the nation, internal order and external security.
