Abstract:
Professor Albert Hirscbman, in his book, The Strategy of Economic Development. Presents an interesting thesis which embodies his "immediate experience" acquired as economic adviser and consultant in Columbia. In my opinion, his thesis is an important contribution to economic policy and therefore I believe some of his "immediate experiences" schould be corroborated, rejected or tested by economists in the so-called under-developed countries. In order to facilitate this, I wish to try to present here briefly the logic of his treatise.
