Abstract: Generally the essay concerns more or less peripheral administrative problems of pricing. Most of the discussion is already general knowledge a la Lange and Lerner. Other aspects are explicitly or implicitly based upon problems more or less current in Indonesia. There are some unfortunate usage — e.g. "effective demand" in partial equilibrium type analysis, and whole notion of equilibrium — which is fairly central to the essay's approach, tho there are minor variations.
