An Operational Rice Price Policy For Indonesia

Abstract: President Soeharto in his Independence Day message to the nation in 1969 reaffirmed the Government's intention to implement a rice price policy which would provide production incentive for farmers while maintaining consideration of the consumers' buying power. The following is a discussion of the major problems involved in framing such a policy, together with detailed recommendations to facilitate its implementation.
