Abstract:
By most economic yardsticks, the last several years in Indonesia have heen good ones. Growth has heen 6 — 8% a year, price have stabilized, the balance of payments looks strong, and prospects are generally thought to he good. Yet there is a diffuse feeling that all is not well. Some people worry about employment, others about income distribution.
