Abstract: This paper will first discuss the impact of rising oil prices on the short and long run economic policies of the developed nations. This is of obvious consequence to Indonesia both because of the short run importance that these nations play as markets lot exports, and because of the somewhat longer run impact that national energy policies will Itave on oil prices in the future
