Abstract:
Keynes thoughts have undergone a process of interpretation and reinterpretation by both his followers and his critics alike. The "standard" interpretation which for decades have dominated the teaching of macroeconomics analysis in most universities originated from writings by Hicks, Hansen, and others who formulated "the Keynesian economics". Aside from that, the standard interpretation have benefited from contributions by Pigou, Haberler, and others who belonged to the Classical tradition. Their interpretation emerged as "the Neo-Classical Synthesis" which put Keynes' works in the mold of the Classical equihbrium analysis.
