Economics and Finance in Indonesia, 1985, vol. 33, 187-195

Abstract: The very important export activities in Indonesia as a country followed an open economy system since 1969 as important as production side and its multiplier for continuing theliong term development. Though the higher dependencies of Indonesia export still on oil & gas, since 1977 new non oil & gas commodities took a valuable share to the total export. For the shake of openness and the development in Indonesia economy it is important to see the discrepancies overtime between Indonesia as an exporter/producer and other country as a market or importer. If there any statistical discrepancies between countries then there will be some explanation of the possible causes, such as the differences in reporting, registration, tariff changing, insurance-freight system changing, etc, or may be also some possibilities on existing what we called "smuggling".
