Abstract:
This paper compares profit distribution between tenant and animal owner of the traditional cattle fattening sharing system and the nucles enterprise system (NES) in Bali. The analysis shows that the traditional sharing system is more equitable than the NES system. Under the NES system all of the capital gain goes to animal owner, whereas under the traditional system the capital gain is divided equally between the tenant and the animal owner. Since the capital gain accumulates during the cattle raised by the tenant then for the sake of justice the tenant should also get some portion of the capital gain. Accordingly, the NES sharing arrangement should be adjusted from the existing body weight gain basis to the value added basis.
