Abstract:
This study investigates the collution behaviour among commercial banks which have relatively large share in market. By dividing into two periods of time (1981-1987 and 1988-1991), it turns out that the Herfindahl Index for both periods were positive and significant statistically. In other words, the collution among dominant commercial banks collution behaviour happened in both periods. In the context of policy issues the findings may implicitly tell us that the deregulation efforts to enhance the market foreces have not worked effectively.
