Abstract:
Kuhn Paradigm is one of influential ideas in the philosophy of science. The analysis of the development of grand theory in economics pointed out that the Kuhn paradigm could explain it with some exceptions. The Marxist Economist ideas/theory is the reverse of the Classic Economist ideas, while the Keynessian reflect as a synthesis of Marxist and Keynessian. The rise and the falling of the economist ideas depend on its capability in explaining and solving the problems both in theoretical and empirical. However, the idea of Classic, Marxist, and Keynessian Economist has its own “new generation” which offer a new way in explaining the economic problems. The ‘new generations’ are neoclassic, neomarxist, and neokeynessian. The development of the theory in International economics has the same story, for example, “free trade” (classic and new classic) theory faces the challenge of the “dependencia” (Marxist and neomarxist) theory, while the “strategic trade policy” (merely keynessian and neokeynessian) is the synthesis.
