Abstract:
Environment quality as a whole should include water, air, soil and ecosystem qualities. Moreover, environment quality is also depended on non-physical things such as public opinion, regulation and quality management. This research produced one index of environment quality for a particular region. In this research kabupaten/kota is used to be a unit of region. This research also calculates the value of environment quality index of 119 kabupaten/kota in Indonesia. To determine the index quantitatively, we used weight for every criteria and sub criteria of quality index that we create for this purpose. To estimate this weight we use AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). The value of index is between 0 and 4. The higher value of index, the better the environment quality is in the region. From 199 kabupaten that we use as a sample, the value of environment quality index is just between 0.025 and 1.898
