Abstract: Efficiency and energy security are essential conditions for sustainable development nowadays. The problems of the energy sector have gathered EU and Russian representatives to discuss key issues such as security of energy supply and the introduction of alternative energy technologies, strengthening of the legal framework, infrastructure development, efficient energy management, standards and mechanisms of financial stimulation and sustainable use of resources.
