Abstract: Within international establishments communication is the basic tool for the interactions among countries and, implicitly, among their languages and cultures. To reconstruct discourse in these communication contexts, that is to translate, sum up, and edit discourses, is the task of translators, interpreters, report editors, press statement editors, etc. This paper is a reflection on the realities of the practice of specialized translation in the context of communication among international establishments.

Keywords: discourse reconstruction; pedagogical translation/specialized translation; specialized discourse; translation of specialized discourse. (search for similar items in EconPapers)
