Abstract:
Arrangements for the enforcement of sentences of imprisonment shall contain all the rules that underlie the execution of custodial sentences. In addition to the fact that the person who is condemned definitively to a deprivation of liberty is isolated, segregated by sex, type of offence, length of sentence, the State of relapse and behavior, the implementation must provide a content rich, consisting of various actions and activities to form on held for the period after detention. This paper proposes to treat the four kinds of arrangements for the enforcement of sentences of imprisonment: the high security regime; closed regime; semi-open regime and open regime. The problem of monitoring prisons, the health care of prisoners, feeding, educational activities and psychosocial intervention, will be other debated topics, as the ECHR has "condemned" Romania in 57 cases, forceing the Romanian State to pay 600,000 euros for former inmates who have complained of poor prison conditions.
