Abstract: The work presents briefly the main anthropic generating causes of the global warming, taking into account the energetic field as the main polluter. By using the data of the European Environment Agency and the data of the IPCC reports, the current situation of the environment being affected by the greenhouse effect gas is presented. An important place is reserved to the legislative measures of the reduction and prevention of the global warming on an international, national and community level, which represents the legal support for the technical and technological actions in the field. At the same time, the necessity of correlating the results of the scientific research in the field of the fight against the global warming with the international treatises and agreements in the field is emphasized
