Abstract: The Public-private partnership is a modern way that can be used by the state to outsource some services traditionally considered public, so that they are met by the private sector. Public-private partnership enjoys a worldwide success, but there are countries, like Romania, which is just at the stage of creating the legal framework for it´s implementation. However, the public-private partnership is not always the best solution for a project. Thus, this paper aims to determine the main benefits and risks of the use of public-private partnership by the public authorities, using the research method of abduction and at the same time realizing a foray into the literature in this field.
