Abstract: The fission of the late URSS and the appearance on its territory of 15 new independent states generated for Russia absolutely a new geopolitical and geostrategic situation. Russia was «pushed on the bottom of Eurasia" an event perceived as something inadmissible for the country which during the centuries has played a major role not only in the international policy but also at the European level. At the same time, pretending to be qualified as a great power, Russia aspires after the retrieval of the past state, that of Super power. To reach its purpose, Russia used different pressures with Republic of Moldova and Ukraine concerning the relations of political, economic and military aspects. So, the present article examines the dimension of strategies of hard and soft power of Russian Federation to maintain Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in its sphere of influence.
