Abstract:
In different forms which reflect the thematic objectives of anthropological research, there are several criteria of ethno-cultural belonging (namely language, ethno-history, territoriality, sociality, economy, ethos and the vision of the world) which materialize ethnicity in its factual and process-related meanings. With respect to the cultural variability of ethnic groups or minorities in Romania, this work seeks to describe and construe the implications of the empiric and methodological location of ethnicity, in rural, urban and regional contexts, based on the comparative analogical and homological properties of cultural patterns of behaviour.
