Abstract:
Development of the Constitution on which Romania adopted in 1991, after the fall of the communist regime was based on the model of the French Constitution. We consider appropriate to make a comparative analysis of how are organized the lower chambers of the legislatures of both countries. The paper includes a description of the organization of the Senate, the superior chamber of the French Parliament, and the Senate, the superior chamber of the Romanian Parliament. We analyze the structures of the components which function in the chambers, highlighting common features and differences on issues of organization of the two authorities.
