Abstract: Social assistance in prison is directly dependent with the results of quality services provided by specialists. This paper want to be a short x-ray of the social programs in Romanian and Danish prison system. Unfortunately the Romanian society it s still reluctant to persons inmates rehabilitation issue and therefore the involvement of community in rehabilitation activities of the inmates or former inmates are sporadic and unsubstantiated. Not the same situation is happening in Denmark. There the local community is deeply involved in activities related with social rehabilitation of inmates or former inmates.
