Abstract:
The environment is a common patrimony for all of us and world’s states have both rights and obligations towards it, meant to guarantee the normal existing and evolution conditions regarding the quantity and quality of natural resources and of biodiversity, both for the present and future generations. The right to a healthy environment is one of the fundamental rights recognised to the human being on national and international level. Starting from this reality, we present in this paper a series of aspects that prove that neither all individuals nor all states acknowledge the importance of the surrounding environment for a positive evolution of humanity and that, unfortunately, the actual society based on consumption does not always have positive effects on the environment factors and on the environment as a whole.
