Abstract:
In the social atmosphere dominated by economic issues and the struggle for power between Romanian political parties, the Extreme-Right defined its distinctive features in the interwar period, by the end of the third decade of the 20th century. Promoted by the Iron Guard, this current attracted a segment of the elite of Romanian intellectuals, as well as youth dissapointed by the corruption of political life in Romania. The “Iconar” phenomenon was a significant example in this respect.
