Abstract:
The Priority Preliminary Ruling on the issue of constitutionality (question prioritaire de constitutionnalité), in force since March 2010, represents more than just an important reform in the French legal system: it amounts to an upheaval, finally awarding the Constitution the status of genuine imperative norm. This long-awaited change is characterized by originality and is highly efficient in the protection of human rights.
